Disney Princesses

I thought this was cute and funny so I'm going to share it with you. If any of you read Ashlei's blog then you know that she dyed her hair black and that many people think that it makes her look like Snow White. I agree with that wholeheartedly! =) Well anyways today I was texting miss Ashlei and we were talking about how she is now a disney princess and she informs me that I also must be one.
Ashlei- "Well then we have to pick one for you...cinderella?!"
Me - "You think so?"
Ashlei - "Yeah! Think about it, she works hard, has medium blonde hair, and looks great in blue!"
haha so there you have it. Ashlei is now Snow White, that's even her name in my phone =), and I am.....

Cinderella!!

Cute right?!

And this is totally random but I'm going to leave you with some lyrics from John Mayer because they've been stuck in my head all day.

"Oh twice as much ain’t twice as good and can't sustain like one half could. It's wanting more gonna send me to my knees......Just keep me where the light is. C’mon keep me where the light is."

Goodnight everyone!! XOXO

Boots Boots Boots

I've been a bad blogger lately but this past week and weekend has been hectic!
Anyways this post is about boots. I am so into them this year. I could seriously wear them everyday.
These sweater boots are too adorable. I want them! (ok why are these pictures so small? seriously.)
You have got to love tall sheepskin boots! A little bit of heaven for you feet.
And okay I know these are rain boots, but I would totally wear them in snow. Aren't they so cute? Zebra print is the best.
Sorry that wasn't long or anything but I have to go to bed. Happy Tuesday tomorrow everybody.

Refuge

For some reason I didn't get alot of sleep last night because I kept waking up. So this blog isn't going to be anything spectacular.
I did want to share something with you though. There's a singer named Judy Rogers who is a Christian and she has come out with some beautiful stuff. One of her cds is a psalms cd called Never Be shaken. I think my favorite song on that cd is called Refuge. It is seriously gorgeous, both lyrics and music.
The song is based on Psalm 46 and this is it.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.
So we will not fear, though the earth give way,
And though the mountains fall into the midst of the sea,
Though the waters roar, and the waters foam,
Though the mountains quake, and we're all alone;
God is our refuge and strength.

There is a river, whose streams make glad the city of our God.
Oh, the holy place where the Most High dwells,
He is within her, she cannot fall.
For God is with her to the break of day.
He lifts His voice and the earth melts away.
There is a river.

Be still and know that I am God, among the nations I will be exalted.
Oh, come and see the works of the Lord,
The desolations He has wrought on the earth.
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear!
Be still and know that I am God,
Be still and know that I am God.

The God of Jacob is our refuge;
The Lord Almighty is with us.
The God of Jacob is our refuge;
The Lord Almighty is with us.

My Weekend

On Friday evening I attended my friend, Rebecca's graduation from massage therapy school. She got one of the outstanding student awards! Go her! That was pretty cool to get to meet some of the people that I had been hearing about for the last seven months.

After the graduation we had a small party at our house with just her family and mine. I made her cupcakes we I sadly forgot to photograph. =( But they were pretty tasty!

On Saturday we had a showing of our house, meaning we had to get out of there. We took a walk around the park near our house and it was gorgeous!

After we got back my mom, Josiah, Jerusha, and I went to Good Times which is a burgers and custard place and we picked up Spoonbenders, which are amazing milkshake type of things, and wild fries! So delicious. Once we got back it was time for me to buckle down and do some writing.

Rebecca and Chris came over again a little while later and we had pizza and watched Baby Mama. I have to say that movie is pretty hilarious!

Sunday was a good day! We had a baptism at church and we had lunch in between service that consisted of soup and sandwiches. The two sermons were wonderful and we even had biblestudy as well! It made for a long day but it was delightful. We got home and we found some dinner then wactched an old movie with Paul Newman called Hud which is rather depressing, but still alright. Then the day was finished with an episode of Supernatural. Oh how I love that show
I would say I had a pretty good weekend!
How was your weekend??

Cold Days

Lately it has been so cold here! Seriously they forcasted snow for sunday and monday morning which never came, but still it's only October. I do love chilly weather but I'm not sure if I'm ready for winter yet.
When it's chilly and cloudy with just a little bit of rain I absolutely adore it. Eveything about that day seems wonderful. My favorite thing to do on days like that are to grab a steaming cup of coffee, get a blanket, and just be delightfully lazy.

Nothing beats that.

Cold weather also has other benefits. There are the cutest clothes during the winter and fall seasons. I love all the sweaters, scarfs, and cute boots! I was made to wear those things! =)

Are all of you having a lovely fall?

Peace

Do you know that feeling of peace you get when you thought you had so many problems and then you prayed to God and you suddenly felt comforted. It's like the calm of the sea after a storm. You are at peace and you feel like everything is going to be okay. What a great God we have!

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." Psalm 119:165

Autumn Leaves

My weekend was fanstastic! Fall colors have got to be some of my favorite scenery. It's so breathtaking.
We arrived at Estes Park around 6p.m. and we quickly got the camper hooked up and then we headed off to our favorite italian place, Mama Rosa's. That place is delicious. If any of you ever visit Estes Park I would definitely recommend eating there. Not to mention their coffee is absolutely fabulous!
After dinner the temperature dropped considerably so we made our way back to the campground where we sat in the heated camper and played cards. So fun!
The next morning we woke up to frost on the windows. It was nice to have my dad bring me coffee so that I was warmed up before I really got the chance to be cold.
Once everyone was ready we headed up to Lily Lake. It was gorgeous there. The colors were brilliant and everything was glistening. We walked around and I took lots of pictures. Want to see a few? Well you're going to even if you don't. =)

Look at those colors!!

I decided I wanted to take a mini photoshoot of Jerusha. She was posed as cowgirl! Here are a few of the shots.

She is so fierce!

A couple black and white ones...

And one more...
All in all it was a wonderfully relaxing time! I hope we get to do it again soon.

R&R

My family and I, including Christopher, are heading up to the mountains this evening for some needed Rest & Relaxation.
AND

We're going to Estes Park, which is beautiful little town right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. It's one of our favorite places to go camping.

I'm sure I'll be taking lots of pictures and I'll definitely share those with you when I get back!
I hope everyone else will have a wonderful weekend as I'm sure I will!
